TYNDALL INCREASES SECURITY

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Tyndall officials have elevated base security posture to Force Protection Condition Bravo. There is no specific threat to Tyndall and this increase is based on Higher Headquarters directives to establish a proactive, unpredictable frequency of actions to mitigate threats to the installation and protect personnel, assets, resources and infrastructure.

Law enforcement personnel at Tyndall will be conducting random vehicles searches and 100 percent identification cards checks at all base entrances.  Base visitors should expect minimal delays and motorists should expect no delays when transiting the US Hwy 98 corridor that extends from DuPont Bridge entering Tyndall to Mexico Beach.

Members of the military and their families are encouraged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to local law enforcement authorities by calling 911 or the Tyndall Law Enforcement Desk at 283-2254.
