Area 1652 closing to oyster harvesting today

Area 1652 will close to Oyster harvesting today.

Area 1652 is the conditionally Approved summer north shellfish harvesting area.

It will close at sunset – the closure is due to recent heavy rains.

Water samples will be taken from the area and the area will reopen when samples show good water quality for oyster harvesting.
