School board chooses leadership, changes meeting dates

                The Franklin county School Board has chosen its chairperson and vice chair for the upcoming year.
The School Board held an organizational meeting on Monday and selected District 5 representative Pam Shiver to continue as the School Board chairperson for the next year.
George Thompson, who represents District 1, was chosen to serve as vice chair.
The board also agreed to continue to retain Barbara Sanders as the school board attorney.
The school board did vote to change its meeting dates.

As of now the school board will meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month.
