APALACHICOLA RESERVE HOSTS FREE TALK ON MONARCH BUTTERFLIES

WHAT:            Free Talk: “Monarch Butterflies of St. Marks”
WHEN:            Wednesday, December 16, 2015

The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve will host a free talk by David Cook, a wildlife biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, on Wednesday, December 16, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Nature Center.
During the talk, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about monarch butterfly life history, population threats, migration patterns and the intricate work that has gone in to over 20 years of counting and tagging monarch butterflies in the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge.
