The Franklin County commission
will meet tomorrow but not at the regular time or place.
Commissioners will meet on
Tuesday at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex at 10 AM – the Carrabelle Municipal
Complex is the old Carrabelle High School.
Commissioners hold two meetings a
year in Carrabelle to make it easier for people on the eastern side of the
county to attend a county commission meeting.
Commissioners wil consider one
important issue on Tuesday.
The school system is on the
agenda to ask that commissioners approve a ballot measure to extend a half mill
levy that helps fund the school system’s operating budget.
The levy was first approved by
voters to 2008 to help pay for raises and benefits for local teachers and other
school employees.
It was re-approved by voters in
2012.
The issue will likely come before
the voters again in March.

commission agenda posted on-line at oysterradio.com.
