Crawfordville resident named to State Emergency Response Commission

Governor Rick Scott has announced three appointments to the State Emergency Response Commission – including one person from Crawfordville.

The commission was created in 1986 and deals with issues associated with the manufacture, use, exposure, transportation, and public education of hazardous materials.

This week the Governor named 33 year old Barry “Dale” Calhoun to the commission.

Calhoun is the executive vice president of the Florida Propane Gas Association and the executive director of the Florida Natural Gas Association.

His term ends at the pleasure of the Governor.

Also named to the commission were Richard Delp of Gulf Breeze and John Johnson of Quincy.
