PORT ST. JOE, Fla. (January 4, 2016) –Dr. Glenn McAlpin, a board-certified general and critical care surgeon with 30 years of experience, has joined Sacred Heart Medical Group’s practice in Port St. Joe. Dr. McAplin specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all general surgical needs, including hernia, acid reflux, gallbladder, colon, breast, carotid surgery, and more. He has special medical interests in endoscopy, dialysis, and surgical critical care. Dr. McAlpin is also fellowship trained in peripheral vascular surgery for the treatment of poor circulation, diabetic ulcers, and spider/varicose veins.
Dr. McAlpin received his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he later completed his residency training in general surgery. He went on to complete his fellowship in peripheral vascular surgery at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. McAlpin is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and has memberships in the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Society of Vascular Surgery, the Society of American Gastro-Intestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the South Eastern Surgical Congress.
