RED CROSS SHELTER CLOSES/ RIVER LEVELS DECREASE


The Red Cross has closed its shelter in Gulf County at the Honeyville Park Community Center today,1/7/16.

River levels are beginning to decrease, we will continue to monitor them over the next several days and advise the public as roads re-open.

Road closures remain the same at this time.

Checkpoints remain on Lake Grove Road and on Doc Whitfield Road. Passes will be given to local residents only. Local residents will be allowed to travel unless the roads become unsafe.

Residents are encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s office if they see any unusual or suspicious activity at 850-639-5717 or 850-227-1115.

The Gulf County EOC continues to operate at a Level 2 Activation. Hours are 7:00am-5:00pm EST.
