SEVERE WEATHER WARNING FOR GULF COUNTY FLORIDA

 Severe thunderstorms will approach the region late this evening and progress through the area overnight. Forms of severe weather expected are scattered tornadoes - some of significant intensity, wind gusts in excess of 70 mph are possible, as is golf ball size hail. Due to the threat of severe weather, Gulf County will open the Honeyville Shelter at 6:00 PM CST, located at 240 Honeyville Park Road, Wewahitchka, FL 32465.
