The web sites for
the Northwest Florida Water Management District will be down intermittently
this week as the sites undergo maintenance.
Improvements are being done to
nwfwater.com and nwfwmdwetlands.com.
The improvements include a new, more
user-friendly camping reservation system.
There
are now 88 campsites within 28 areas available to reserve online for
free.
The
campsites are located along the Apalachicola, Escambia,
and Choctawhatchee rivers.
Visitors
can reserve a site up to 11 months in advance for up to seven
days.
Once the work is complete for the new
camping reservation system, visitors will have 24-hour access to make
reservations from home or their mobile device.
A more mobile-friendly experience is
also part of the new registration system.
The District expects each of its web
sites to be fully functional again by this Wednesday.
