FLOOD WARNING ADVISORY FOR APALACHICOLA, CARRABELLE AND NEW RIVERS

April 3, 2016

If you live directly along the water’s edge, or if your home is subject to flooding due to river flooding along the Apalachicola River, Carrabelle River, Crooked River, or New River:

·         Be extremely vigilant during the next couple of days as the water starts to flow down the river from the heavy amounts of rain fall in the north.
·         A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on the current forecast.
·         Residents in and near the watch area should continue to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood warnings.
·         Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.
