Franklin
County Commissioners have created a wish list of road projects they would like
to see added to the Florida Department of Transportation’s 5 year plan.
The Board said its first priority repaving
Highway 98 from 12th Street to Tilton Road in Apalachicola and repaving Highway
98 from Eastpoint to Carrabelle.
Commissioners said they would also like
to see a sidewalk along the north side of Highway 98 from the NAPA Store to the
IGA and would like to see a bike path between Carrabelle and Lanark Village.
The commission will also see if there are
any needed projects at the Apalachicola airport to add to the list.
There is no guarantee that any of the
projects will be added to the DOT work plan, but it does give the state agency
an idea of what projects county officials feel are important.
