Lane closures begin on U.S. 98 in Gulf County
Chipley – Construction activities begin the week of August 8 on a one-mile section of U.S. 98 from the Gulf County Canal Bridge to south of the U.S. 98 realignment in Gulf County. The $742,276 construction project will include resurfacing the existing roadway, minor safety improvements, new signage and pavement markings. Construction is anticipated to be complete fall 2016.
All planned construction activities are weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area.
