Area 1622 and 1642 of the Apalachicola Bay will reopen to oyster harvesting on Sunday

The Department of Agriculture will reopen area 1622 and area 1642 to Oyster harvesting at sunrise on Sunday.

1622 is the Conditionally Approved Winter West Shellfish Harvest Area.

Area 1642 is the conditionally approved winter east bar – it includes Cat Point and East Hole.

Both areas were closed last week because of tropical storm Irma.
