The annual St. George Island Paint Out is going to happen this year, but instead of a “paint out” it will be a “paint in.”

The annual event of plein air painting and workshops will be held May the 2nd through the 8th, but this year instead of painters working outside and holding face to face workshops, everything will be done on-line.

Videos of the artists at work, voting and sales will all be conducted on facebook and instagram.

12 artists are taking part in the event this year.

Each will submit two paintings of indoor or outdoor scenes – people will be able watch videos of the artists at work on-line.

The resulting 24 paintings will then be uploaded to the St. George Island Paint Out page where they will be voted on for Artists’ Choice and People’s Choice” awards.

All paintings then will be offered for sale online.

You can find out more about the event on-line at http://www.sgipaintout.com/
