Franklin County has lifted its burn ban and lowered our status to a burn advisory

Franklin County has lifted its burn ban and lowered our status to a burn advisory.

The burn ban took effect on May 12th and was ended on the 22nd.

That means people can once again make campfires, burn yard trash, and make other outdoor fires.

Even though the burn ban is lifted, it is still extremely dry so please take all precautions when burning outdoors.

Make sure any fire you make including charcoal grill fires are completely extinguished before leaving

And remember to request a burn permit from Division of Forestry for Large Debris Piles before burning.

They can be reached at 850-681-5951.
