Our Vacation Rentals and Beaches are open! As happy as we are to have you back on our beaches, you play an important role in keeping yourself and others around you safe during your vacation. We also understand you may have questions when planning your vacation. Our Tourism Industry Partners are doing their part to ensure your safety by enhancing cleaning guidelines and practices. We are also offering resources to help you feel at ease before your arrival. Such resources include curbside grocery pick up information and even companies that will stock your home before you arrive. From our parks to our beaches and waterways, Gulf County offers an abundance of uncrowded outdoor activities. It is in all of our hands to keep Gulf County open and safe for everyone. Help us wade in. Start Planning Your Gulf County Adventure It's Turtle Season!  May 1st through October 31st is officially nesting sea turtle season! Home to more than 28 percent of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle nests, we love and protect these massive, beautiful creatures and we ask that our visitors do as well.  Play your part in turtle conservancy by keeping our beaches clean, flat, and dark and follow the Leave No Trace Ordinance.  At the end of your beach day, please do your part by leaving only your footprints, and remove all trash and beach equipment. Learn More about Sea Turtles in Gulf County St. Joseph Bay Golf Course Updates St. Joseph Bay Golf Club is currently renovating all 19 greens with a hybrid Bermuda grass called Tif Dwarf. After removing 5 inches of material from the old surfaces we have replaced with new organic material and sand. On May 19th we began the sprigging process with the new grass. After 8 days we are now seeing great root growth and green grass is starting to appear. The “grow in” process will take 9-12 weeks to achieve full coverage and a wonderful putting surface that we can all be proud of. The golf course remains open for play on all 18 holes with temporary greens that are being mowed regularly.
