Beginning May 1st, Gulf County’s shores transform into pathways for one of nature’s oldest journeys: sea turtles returning to nest.

From the soft scrape of flippers in the sand to the tiny tracks of hatchlings racing toward the waves, every moment depends on the care we take now. By leaving beaches clean, flat, and dark through removing trash, filling in holes, and turning off unnecessary lights, we can Keep it Wild together.

Doing these simple steps protects wildlife and helps keep the magic of Gulf County alive for the next 100 years and beyond.

Kick Off Summer Gulf County Style!

Come celebrate tourism and the start of summer at our Decked Out event at the Gulf County Welcome Center on May 8th! Stop by for light refreshments, good company, and grab some free swag to get decked out for sunny days ahead.
