Members of the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit along with sheriff’s deputies, officers of the Apalachicola Police Department arrested Larry Leroy Butler and Lowery Manley Croom Jr. on March the 31st. Police served a Search Warrant on their residence on 10th Street in Apalachicola.
During the search police found over 5.2 grams of suspected Marijuana and nearly 3 grams of suspected Crack Cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia.
Larry Leroy Butler was charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a church, and Lowery Manley Croom Jr. was charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance within 1000 feet of a church. Both men were also charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute.
More charges are pending further investigation.
