Florida’s Great Northwest, the 16-county, regional economic development organization of Northwest Florida, has appointed a new president.
Don Kirkman was selected at the organization’s board meeting in December, following a nationwide search.
Kirkman will take the helm on January 1st and operate out of the organization’s Destin corporate office.
Mister Kirkman most recently served as president and CEO of a 12-county economic development organization in North Carolina.
Florida’s Great Northwest provides serves 16 counties in Northwest Florida from Pensacola through Tallahassee.
Its primary mission is to create a diversified and sustainable economy in Northwest Florida.
