Agriculture Commissioner-Elect Adam Putnam has announced his staff appointments for the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and we will see a change in the Division of Aquaculture which oversees oyster harvesting in Florida waters.
Putnam announced 27 appointments this week including Mike Joyner who will serve as the Assistant commissioner and chief of staff.
Commissioner Putnam will move Sherman Wilhelm out of the Division of Aquaculture where he has served as director since 1999.
Mister Wilhelm will now serve as Director of Policy and Budget.
He will be replaced in the position by Leslie Palmer-Boxold.
Miss Palmer Boxold has been in the Department of Agriculture since 2002 as the Director of Federal and State Relations.
