There is a boil water notice in effect for Lanark Village residents today.
The Carrabelle Water Department said a broken water line on Highway 98 near Apalachee Street on Wednesday reduced pressure in the system which requires a boil water notice until the water can be tested.
Any water used for drinking or cooking should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute.
The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the tests on water samples show the water is safe to drink.
The water department said they expect water sample results to be returned on Friday.
