Today is the last day to register to vote

Today is the last day to register to vote in the November 4th elections.

If you haven’t yet registered to vote you need to do it by the end of the workday today as there are some important local issues on the ballot.

Local voters will decide whether to change the Superintendent of Schools from an elected position to a hired position.

They will also decide whether to double the local tourist development tax.

District 2 voters will also select a county commissioner in November and there are some important statewide elections including a governor’s race and congressional race.

Registering to vote is easy, just stop by the elections office in Apalachicola or Carrabelle or fill out the on-line voter registration form at Votefranklin.com.
