Some State parks in Florida will re-open on a limited basis starting today but not the parks on St. George Island or Cape San Blas.

The park at Bald Point, however, will reopen today for limited use as will Torreya State Park in Liberty County.

Bald Point State Park will be open for day use from 8 a.m. to sunset, for active recreation only, such as walking, jogging, swimming and fishing.

Beach areas are available 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. - sunset.

The Boat/kayak launch is also available as are the restroom facilities.

Visitors are asked to practice proper social distancing and to limit group size to 10 or less and to stay six feet apart.

Visitors should check the Department’s website at www.floridastateparks.org for the latest information on state park re-openings and hours of operation
