Franklin Chronicle to close this month

Franklin County will once again be down to one local newspaper at the end of this month. The Franklin Chronicle says in its June 12th edition that it will stop its presses on June 26th. The Newspaper says a souring economy and reduced advertising led to the decision. If you subscribe to the Chronicle, you will receive the paper for the rest of this month, and then get a check prorated to reflect the number of issues left in your subscription.
