Mediacom offers free cable service to people who missed the digital switch
If your television went snowy on June the 12th because you weren’t ready for the switch over to digital TV – our local cable company says they are willing to let hook you up to their basic package for free for while you make the switch. Mediacom says it will provide free installation and free basic cable service until Labor Day to households that currently do not have the ability to receive over-the-air broadcast signals. Mediacom’s says their offer is intended to help provide a simple, no-cost solution to insure that people continue to have access to local broadcast stations. And of course it will give people a chance to ‘test drive’ cable television service without any long-term obligation or costs. Mediacom’s free service applies to the broadcast basic or “limited” channel line-up which gives households up to 20 channels that include all local broadcast stations, public television stations and some other channels. The program is free through Labor Day and that includes installation. People who would like to learn more should call 1-800-332-0245.
