Franklin County files FCC compliant against Mediacom

County commissioners have agreed to file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission over the way the Mediacom Cable Company does business. The board has long complained about the cost of cable service in Franklin County and the lack of access in some of the less populated areas. They have never had much success when bringing their complaints to Mediacom itself, so now they are going to the FCC, the government agency which regulates most communication companies from radio to cable television. The county commission says it hopes the FCC will look at Mediacom’s billing practices and the way the way the company changes its channel lineup.
