Visit a Florida State Park for free on Saturday

You can visit Florida’s state parks for free this Saturday in honor of National Parks and recreation Month.
Since 1985, the National Recreation and Park Association has designated July as National Parks and Recreation Month.
The cost of a day pass will be waived on Saturday, July the 17th at all of Florida’s 160 state parks except for the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park in Tampa Bay.
All other use fees, such as overnight accommodations, tours or special events, will be charged as usual.
There are plenty of local state parks to enjoy on Saturday including the Orman House Historic State Park and the Gorrie Museum in Apalachicola, the St. George Island State Park, and The Bald Point State Park.
There are also the Ochlocknee River State Park and Wakulla Springs in Wakulla County and the Constitution Museum and the St. Joe Peninsula State Park in Gulf County.
