Deadline for emergency advance payments from BP coming up this month

The deadline is quickly approaching for applying for an emergency advance payment because of the BP oil spill.
An Emergency Advance Payment is for people or businesses that are experiencing financial hardship now because of damages incurred by the spill.
The Emergency Advance Payments are made quickly, but any money you receive will be deducted from any final claim payment you receive.
The deadline for the Emergency Advance payments is November 23rd, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Even of you don’t make the deadline you can still file a claim against BP – you just might not get paid very quickly if its approved.
People have up to three years to file claims against the company.
For information on filing claims or to seek an emergency advance payment, you either go on-line to gulfcoastclaimsfacility.com – or visit the local claims office at the old Apalachicola High School.
That office is open from 8 till 7, seven days a week.
