People in Eastpoint who recycle may soon have a recycling center closer to home.
The county commission on Tuesday asked that the Solid Waste Department place recycling bins in the city.
Currently people in Eastpoint have to drive to Apalachicola or St. George Island if they want to recycle.
Commissioner Pinki Jackel asked for the bins at the request of Eastpoint residents.
She said she will work with the solid waste department to find a suitable location for the bins.
