St. James wants its sign back

St. James may soon get its sign back.

County Commissioners agreed this month to petition the Department of Transportation to replace the St. James sign which was removed last year during a road project in the area.

And of course getting the sign back is not as easy as just asking for it.

The county had to approve a resolution stating that St. James is a distinct community with significant historical, cultural, and educational value.

That resolution has been sent to the DOT with even more documentation and now the county will just have to wait for an answer.
