If you have questions about the work being done to clean up the oil from the BP oil spill – then come out tonight to ask the people who should know the answers.
Federal and state officials will be in Apalachicola this evening to update the public about the ongoing monitoring and assessment of the BP oil spill.
Representatives from federal agencies including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the US Geological Survey as well as state officials from the Department of environmental Protection, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of health will update the public on the work that is going on to monitor the effects of the oil spill and to clean up any remaining oil.
The groups will discuss issues ranging from water sampling and health issues to seafood safety and even mental health issues.
They will also answer questions from the public.
The meeting will begin this evening at 6.
It will be held at the Franklin county Courthouse Annex in Apalachicola.
