Franklin County hires Johnson Peterson for energy efficiency grant

County commissioners have agreed to hire a Tallahassee Architectural firm to fulfill a half million dollar energy efficiency grant.

The county agreed on Tuesday to hire Johnson Peterson Architects.

The company will help in the installation of new windows at the Franklin County Courthouse and at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex as well as with the installation of solar panels at on the courthouse annex.

The company was one of 6 to apply for the work – they were chosen because they were the only architectural firm with experience in installing solar panels on an existing building.

The company has also worked with Franklin County before – Johnson Peterson was the architectural firm for the renovation of the Franklin County courtroom.
