County to consider new RV Park in Eastpoint

There could be a new RV park in Eastpoint in the near future.

The county commission on Tuesday agreed to set a public hearing to consider a nearly 4 acre site on Highway 98 for an RV Resort.

The proposed site plan will include an 36 RV sites as well as a Manager's Residence and Office, an Activity Center, Bath House and a Swimming Pool.

The county planning and zoning board approved the request in February but the issue was put on hold while the company, Coastline  Rentals. LLC. completed the purchase of the land.

Commissioner Bevin Putnal said this might be something that sparks the economy.
