Edgar to Direct Northwest Florida Water Management District’s Division of Resource Regulation




Havana, Florida—Michael H. Edgar, a Tallahassee business executive and environmental scientist with over 30 years’ experience, was selected Division Director of Resource Regulation and approved by the Northwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board in June.


Mr. Edgar is experienced in water resource permitting and regulatory compliance, water supply and wastewater treatment, ecosystem restoration, and contaminated site remediation. 


He brings award-winning expertise in design, permitting and construction of industrial water supply and wastewater treatment systems.


“I look forward to applying my experience on the customer side of water resource regulation,” said Mr. Edgar. “It will serve me well in helping the District optimize many aspects of permitting and regulation, including consumptive use permitting.”


Edgar replaces Guy Gowens who has moved to Director of the Division of Resource Management.
