The Florida Department of Agriculture and
Consumer Services is temporarily closing area the conditionally approved Apalachicola
Summer Shellfish Harvest Area #1652
The Department of Agriculture found high
fecal coliform levels during a recent water sampling.
The closed area is north of the Apalachicola Bridge .
The Department of Agriculture will continue
taking water samples from the area.
