The National Weather Service
has issued a hard freeze watch for the Florida panhandle for tonight which
means it is likely that temperatures could fall below 26 degrees for at least 2
hours.
In fact its believed Tallahassee could see record low
temperatures early Wednesday,
with temperatures as low as 20 degrees.
The hard freeze watch will take at 11
tonight and remain in effect through 9 AM Wednesday morning.
Residents
are urged to bring in any pets or other animals they may have outside tonight and
protect their outdoor plants from possible freeze damage.
You should
also protect any exposed water pipes from freezing temperatures.
And if you have space heaters please use them safely.
Keep them away from all flammable materials such as curtains
and furniture, and install recommended smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
And please do not use charcoal or other fuel-burning devices
