WCSO assists Liberty County arrest fleeing subject


Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisted the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office arrest a fleeing suspect who led Liberty law enforcement on a high speed vehicle pursuit through three counties that ended in western Wakulla County on April 2, according to Sheriff Charlie Creel.


Craig Robert Millette, 39, of Quincy was a suspect in a reckless driving investigation when he fled Liberty County and led law enforcement through Liberty, Leon and Wakulla counties before being apprehended.The suspect left the highway in Leon County and the pursuit continued on several Apalachicola National Forest roads before eventually ending up on New Light Church Road where Millette crashed into a wood line.
Liberty County Major Brian Langston continued the pursuit on foot where he arrested his subject. Deputy Marcus Flournah and Sgt. Danny Harrell set up a perimeter to assist Major Langston and transported the suspect to the Wakulla County Jail.
Millette was charged with fleeing and eluding and driving while driver license is suspended or revoked with knowledge. He also faces a variety of narcotics charges in Liberty County as well as reckless driving, fleeing and eluding and resisting arrest without violence.
After being booked into the Wakulla County Jail, Millette was released to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. The Florida Highway Patrol and Leon County Sheriff’s Office were also involved in the case.
