Two Carrabelle men arrested after drugs found during traffic stop

A routine traffic stop in Wakulla County last Thursday led to the arrest of two Carrabelle men on drug charges.

31 year old Rodney Dwayne Green Jr. and 26 year old Lonnie Nathan Crum were arrested after authorities found about three and a half ounces of marijuana in their 2004 GMC

Deputies conducted the traffic stop on Crawfordville Highway because the vehicle had an expired tag.

During the traffic stop deputies smelled the strong odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle.

The driver, Rodney Dwayne Green Jr also had an active warrant out of Franklin County.

He was arrested on the warrant.

A search of the vehicle discovered bags of marijuana inside a bucket.

The vehicle also contained drug paraphernalia and an ink pen with white powdery residue.

Lonnie Nathan Crum was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell; possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies also seized $565.95 of U.S. currency and the 2004 GMC.
